What do you make?We create unique, personalised cardigans, hats and blankets for children from the age of 0 (brand new baby newborns) to 3 (or 36 months, if you’re still counting!). At your direction, we sew names / nicknames / special words onto the back of cardigans, initials on the front of hats and wherever you’d like on blankets.
-
How do I order? The best way is to go via our website so you can click on the knit you’d like. If you’ve got questions / requests that aren’t answered below, then please drop us an email [sunnystitches@outlook.com]. Or, if you’ve found us on Instagram and you prefer messaging via there – then send as a private message.
-
How do you make my order? You select the knit from the range we have on our website (link) and tell us the name and the colour you’d like it sewn. We then hand stitch your name onto the back of the cardigan! Simple!
-
I have my own favourite knit wear I’d like stitching, can you help?Absolutely, we love knitwear and we want your pieces to feel as special as can be – if you want us to help, simply send in your knit and tell us what name and colour you’d like sewn and where, and we’ll organise.
-
How much do your products cost? You can view the full price list here. If we’re doing something extra special for you, if necessary, we might need to tweak the price accordingly which we’d work with you on. If you send us your knitwear for us to personalise, we simply charge £18 plus postage (£5).
-

Send in serviceWe know that you may be gifted a cardigan and would love to use it as a sentimental keep sake. We would love to personalise it for you. Drop us a message and we’ll arrange details of where to send your beloved knit to and how to choose the thread colour for the name.
-
How do I personalise my knit?Simply tell us the name you’d like sewn on your knit, as well as the colour (the online form will prompt you for both of these thing). If there’s anything extra special you’d like e.g. a colour you can’t see or a variation on the name, please add it to the ‘anything else’ box, or send us a message.
-
What’s the maximum length of the name? For cardigans, we recommend 7 letters as a maximum as we find this gives the best look. Of course, we’re proud to personalise and we want your knit to be as special as you need it to be – so we’ll always do our best to accommodate any name length, so let’s chat and work it out! Just keep in mind that for smaller size cardigans, longer names can look a little squashed. For blankets we can add a name or short phrase. Hats can be personalised with one or two initials.
-
I don’t know the name of my baby yet but seen a knit that I love, can I still order?Yes of course! As all our knits are one offs, you might see the perfect cardigan before you’ve settled on the perfect name. In this case, just add a little message in our ‘anything else’ box when purchasing and we’ll keep it to one side until you’re ready.
-
How do you size the cardigans?Knitting patterns vary, just like our children. We measure the knits from armpit to armpit to give us the best size. It’s always best to check an existing garment if you can but if you’re in doubt, go bigger or drop us a message and we’ll help you find the right knit.
-
How long does postage take?We use Royal Mail 2nd class for our parcels, they generally arrive in 2-3 working days. If you need your knit quicker or would like it sent with tracking, please let us know and we can help.
-
How long to despatch? We aim to have a turnaround time of 2 weeks or less. If you need your knit for a specific date, please let us know and we’ll always do our best to accommodate.
-
Returns policyAs all the knits are personalised, we cannot accept returns. Please be careful to check spellings at the time of purchasing. We hope you love your knit but of course, if your parcel arrives damaged or the knit isn’t as you expected, please get in touch and we will always help with a like for like replacement or your money back.
-
How do I best look after my knit? All of our knits come with a care tag so you’ll be able to learn more when you unwrap your parcel. We recommend that you hand wash our knits with a mild, non-bio (best for little ones) detergent. If that feels tricky, then a wool wash on a low heat works too. Hang the knits up to dry on an airer or outside, never a tumble drier! For absolute best results, give the knit a gentle stretch and lie flat, before you leave to dry.
